FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1. What is Noapure?

Noapure is a ritual house. For four generations, we've been cold-pressing natural botanicals on the Aegean coast, turning them into soaps, scents, and tools for daily living.

We don't make products. We make rituals. A soap is not just soap — it's the moment you pause. A scent is not just fragrance — it's the way your space feels when you step inside. A bath tool is not just an object — it's an invitation to slow down.

Every bar, every bottle, every tool carries the Aegean way of living: natural, handmade, sustained.

Q2. Where is Noapure made?

Our soaps and candles are made in Turkey, on the coast where the Aegean meets tradition. We work with small growers and producers — people we know by name, whose families have been pressing, harvesting, and crafting for generations.

We don't outsource. We sit with our suppliers. We taste the soil. That's where the ritual begins.

Q3. Do you have physical stores?

Yes. You can visit us in three places:

San Francisco — Cow Hollow
2189 Union Street, San Francisco, CA 94123
Mon–Sat: 12:00 PM – 7:00 PM | Sun: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Istanbul — Sultanahmet
[Address to be confirmed]
Mon–Fri: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Sat–Sun: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Lake Garda — Desenzano del Garda, Italy

Via Sant'Angela Merici, 20, 25015

Desenzano del Garda BS, Italy

In each location, you can touch the soaps, smell the scents, and experience the ritual before you bring it home.

Q4. What makes your soap different?

Three things: cold-press, time, and no shortcuts.

Cold-pressed: Heat destroys the plant's delicate oils and nutrients. We use cold-press methods, keeping everything intact.

Cured for six weeks: Most soaps are ready to sell in days. Ours sit for 42 days. The oils settle. The bar hardens. The scent deepens. Patience changes everything.

No synthetic fragrance. No SLS. No palm oil. No plastic in our packaging. The list of what's not in it is part of the recipe — and part of the ritual.

Q5. Which soap is right for my skin type?

We organize our soaps into seven ritual collections. Find yours:

The Botanical Soap Bars — For every skin type. Five Aegean plants, each chosen for a different need: avocado (dry skin), aloe vera (sensitive), lavender (calm), rosemary (tone), and anti-cellulite botanicals (circulation).

The Grove Soap Bars — For morning clarity. Mint, thyme, orange, fig, and grape. Awakening, refreshing, alive.

The Aegean Soap Bars — For salt-and-stone skin. Aloe, coconut, cedar patchouli, mystic blend, and the hammam tradition. Soothing, grounding, coastal.

The Earth Soap Bars — For deep cleansing. Volcanic clay, red clay, activated carbon, sulphur, and the hammam tradition. Purifying at the deepest level.

The Bloom Soap Bars — For softness. Jasmine, red rose, pomegranate, turmeric, and daphne. Nourishing, brightening, luminous.

The Alexandria Soap Bars — For total luxury. Donkey milk, red rose, honey, argan, and shea butter. Named after Cleopatra's bath.

The Body Polish Soap Bars — For exfoliation and massage. Cellulite massage, golden glow massage, moss massage, heritage ritual massage, collagen massage, rice massage, and mud bar. For circulation, texture, and renewal.

Q6. How do I use these products?

Each ritual has a rhythm. Here's the Hamam Ritual as an example:

Before you begin:
Wrap yourself in the peshtemal. This Turkish towel is not just functional — it's a boundary between you and the world. It says: this time is sacred.

Step 1: The Brush
Wet your skin. Use the horsehair brush in circular motions for 2–3 minutes. This opens your pores and prepares your skin. The brush is firm but kind — like attention itself.

Step 2: The Daphne Soap
Apply the daphne soap. Massage gently. Let it sit for 30 seconds. Rinse with warm water. Feel the plant oils settle into your skin.

Step 3: The Goat Milk Soap
Now the goat milk soap. This is the nourishment step. Massage for 1–2 minutes. Feel the lactic acid work. Rinse with cool water. Your skin is softer now.

Step 4: The Cologne
A splash of kolonya. This closes the ritual. It refreshes, restores, and signals completion.

Step 5: Wrap Again
Wrap yourself in the peshtemal once more. Pat your skin dry slowly. There's no hurry. The peshtemal holds the warmth. You are held.

The ritual is not about speed. It's about presence. It's about four generations of Aegean women who knew that bathing is not just hygiene — it's a ceremony.

Q7. Are your products vegan?

Most of our soaps are vegan. However, some collections use:

  • Donkey milk (The Alexandria Soap Bars)
  • Goat milk (The Aegean Soap Bars, The Alexandria Soap Bars)
  • Raw honey (The Alexandria Soap Bars)

Each product page lists the full ingredient set. If vegan is important to you, The Botanical, Grove, Earth, Bloom, and Body Polish soap bars are entirely plant-based.

Q8. What about sensitive skin?

Our soaps are naturally gentle — cold-pressed, free of synthetic fragrance, and made to soothe rather than strip.

For sensitive skin, we recommend:

  • The Botanical Ritual — Aloe Vera Bar (soothing, hydrating)
  • The Milk Ritual — Goat Milk Bar (lactic acid gently exfoliates, deeply nourishing)
  • The Bloom Ritual — Red Rose Bar (anti-inflammatory, hydrating)

Start with one product. Notice how your skin feels after one week. Sensitivity often calms as your skin learns to trust again.

Q9. How long does a bar last?

A single bar lasts 4–6 weeks with daily use. This depends on:

  • How much water you use (more water = faster dissolve)
  • How often you bathe
  • How you store it (keep it dry between uses)

Our bars are dense because they're cured for six weeks. A small bar feels like it lasts forever.

Q10. How do I store my soap?

Between uses, keep it dry. We recommend:

  • A wooden soap dish (wood breathes; it lets the bar harden between showers)
  • A linen soap pouch (portable, drains water naturally)
  • A ceramic dish (beautiful, keeps water away)

Avoid: plastic holders (they trap moisture and soften the bar), direct shower spray (water dissolves the bar faster).

A well-stored bar lasts longer and stays firmer.

Q11. Can I gift these products?

Yes — gifting is what we do. We hand-wrap every order.

For weddings: The Bohça Bridal — a hand-wrapped bundle for brides and bridesmaids.

For hosting: The Hosting Set — candles, cologne, and soap for someone opening their home.

For gratitude: The Thank You — a small, elegant box for someone who showed up.

You can also build custom gifts. Write to hello@noapure.com and tell us the story — we'll make the gift match it.

Q12. Do you offer gift registries?

Yes. We have registries for:

Weddings — Choose from all seven soap collections, tools, and curated sets. Your guests select what they want to give you.

Homes — For anyone starting fresh. Scents, soaps, tools, textiles. Everything needed to turn a house into a ritual space.

Visit /registry to create one. It takes 5 minutes.

Q13. What's your shipping policy?

We ship across the US and Canada.

Standard Shipping: 5–7 business days

All orders ship in protective packaging. Soaps are wrapped individually so they don't crack. Candles are secured so wax doesn't shift.

We use sustainable packaging: kraft paper, recycled cardboard, no plastic.

Q14. What if I don't like a product?

We offer a 30-day return window. No questions asked.

If a soap doesn't work for your skin, or a scent isn't right for your space, send it back. We'll refund you or send something else.

But here's what we've learned: most people who think they don't like a product just haven't found their ritual yet. Give it a week. Soap is like a relationship — it needs time.

Q15. How often should I bathe?

There's no "should." Ritual is personal.

Some people shower daily with the same bar. Some rotate: a cleansing soap one day, a nourishing one the next. Some use different soaps for different times of day (awakening in the morning, grounding in the evening).

The ritual is whatever makes you pause. That's the only rule.

Q16. Are your products cruelty-free?

Yes. We don't test on animals. We don't use animal-derived ingredients (except honey and milk, which we source ethically from growers we know).

Our packaging is plastic-free. Our suppliers are paid fairly. Our production respects both people and land.

Slow living means respecting everything in the chain.

Q17. Do you have wholesale or B2B options?

Yes. We work with:

Boutique hotels — Curated soap and scent collections for guest bathrooms
Spas — Private-label soaps and candles
Gift shops — Wholesale pricing on collections
Restaurants & cafes — Hand soaps and ambient scents

Write to info@noapure.com with "Wholesale" in the subject line. We'll discuss your vision and pricing.

Q18. What's in the "Soft Reset" collection?

Seven scents for when you need to pause:

  1. Soft Reset — Pale Dust — Calming, grounding (cedarwood, vetiver)
  2. Soft Reset — Hinoki Bloom — Meditative, fresh (cypress, white florals)
  3. Soft Reset — Sakura — Delicate, soft (cherry blossom, musk)
  4. Soft Reset — Dark Patchouli — Deep, earthy (patchouli, oud)
  5. Soft Reset — Aegean Air — Clear, coastal (salt, herbs, sea)
  6. Soft Reset — Sandalwood Path — Warm, rich (sandalwood, amber)
  7. Soft Reset — Wild Garden — Green, alive (herbs, grass, petrichor)

Each is a diffuser or linen mist. Use one in your room, your closet, your car — anywhere you need a quiet moment.

Q19. What's "The Ritual Edit"?

A curated collection for people building a complete ritual:

14 handmade soaps (two from each of our seven collections) + woven Turkish textiles (peshtemal, towels, bathrobe).

It's a starter kit for someone discovering their ritual for the first time. Or a gift for someone you want to slow down.

Everything you need is inside.

Yes. At /blog you'll find:

  • Ritual Guides — How to build your morning ritual, evening ritual, etc.
  • Ingredient Stories — Where our botanicals come from, what they do, why they matter
  • Hammam Culture — The 700-year tradition that inspired our brand
  • Product Deep Dives — Story behind each collection

New posts every week. Everything is written to slow you down, not rush you.

Q22. How is Noapure organized?

Our structure:

Body Rituals — Seven soap collections, shampoo bars, bath tools (brushes, gua sha, oils, tonics), towel and bathrobes.

Space Rituals — Hand-poured candles, essential oil diffusers, linen and fabric mists

Life Rituals — Gift sets and curated bundles for weddings, hosting, gifting, celebrating

Our Stores — San Francisco, Istanbul, Lake Garda

Everything flows from one idea: ritual as a way of living.

Q23. Why do you call it "ritual" instead of "product"?

Because a product is something you use. A ritual is something you live.

When you use a soap, you're cleaning. When you use a ritual, you're pausing. You're saying: this moment is mine. This space is sacred. This body deserves care.

Products can be bought anywhere. Rituals are lived only once — in your morning, your evening, your home, your body.

We're not selling soap. We're inviting you to slow down.

Q24. What's your sustainability commitment?

We are committed to:

Sourcing — Know our growers by name. Pay fairly. Support regenerative agriculture.

Production — Cold-press (uses less energy). Hand-cut. No waste. Cured for six weeks (quality over speed).

Packaging — Kraft paper, recycled cardboard, zero plastic. Hand-wrapped.

Impact — Every purchase supports small producers on the Aegean coast. You're not just buying a bar; you're sustaining a tradition.

Sustainability isn't a marketing word for us. It's how we've lived for four generations.
